The council has plans for a new ‘mixed-use quarter’, which will deliver thousands of new homes for the city.Īnd the site is on the opposite bank of the New Cut River Avon to the Mead Street industrial estate, which Bristol Live revealed last month is the latest area to be earmarked for large-scale development of apartment blocks and new homes. The two-acre, brownfield site is part of Bristol City Council’s Temple Quarter and St Philip’s Marsh Regeneration Area. The former Robins & Day site next to Bath Road Bridge closed in March this year, with the firm centring its operations at Cribbs Causeway. The property developers who are building hundreds of new flats in Bedminster have bought the old Peugeot dealership opposite Temple Meads station and are planning around 400 flats there. ![]()
